Course Description

This one day Introduction to Scrum course covers the Scrum framework including a full explanation of the roles, meetings, and artifacts and participants will leave with enough knowledge to start using Scrum.We will cover the five core concepts for competing on change, iterative development, the benefits of Scrum, the product backlog and what happens within a sprint. We also provide our recommended reference material and local community contacts. Participants will get to experience working in iterations and as part of a team.

About Stanly Lau

Stanly is a software development coach in Odd-e, helping companies to grow self-managing teams and technical practices. He grew up in Singapore and started programming professionally since ten years ago. He has a deep interest in helping developers to increase their competence in technical skills and has spent many years mentoring teams. He is also the early founders of Agile community in Singapore and organiser of the Agile Singapore conferences.

He is interested in using growing self-managing teams and engineering practices like Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development and Refactoring.

He likes to read technical books and do/discuss programming. On a less nerdy side, he likes making espresso and photography.
